As part of the AP program, we need to learn to be recursive writers. We need to read over our work and see what we can improve upon. This is the only way we can move forward in our writing skills. With that in mind, review your AP summer essays, my comments I left you, and your overall grades. Think about what you did well and what you need to improve upon to further yourself as a writer. Then, write a 5-sentence paragraph explaining what you need to fix in the future, as well as your ideas on how to best approach that problem.
Finally, read over one of your peer's responses and give some helpful feedback on additional ways he or she could fix the writing issues he or she found. Both are due by Friday, August 26th, at 9 pm. Welcome back to a new school year! For your first blog, choose one of the four novels you read for your summer reading, and please respond to the following questions:
1. How does the cover of the novel fit the story? 2. How would you feel if you were in the main character's situation? 3. Do you like the ending of the story? If so, why, and if not, how would you have changed it? Due by Thursday, Sept. 1st at 9 pm for 2 bonus points. Arguably the most important part of your college application, your college application says much about you. This short essay can sway the hearts and minds of admissions counselors as well as scholarship donors. But, what is the correct way to pen a college application essay? What items are needed in it? For this blog post, I would like you to go on a virtual scavenger hunt. Cruise the internet looking for information on college application essays. Find a website that seems to offer many good ideas on how to create it. Then, copy the link into a blog post and, in a good paragraph, describe the helpful tips found on that site.
Then, when you have done this, please review the site one of your peers posted. After you have reviewed it, respond to your peer's post with a helpful insight, a comment, or an extension. This post and at least one comment is due by Wednesday, September 7th, at 9 pm. Before you post your comment to ANY blog, please consider:
